The route starts at the entrance Noordhoek Village on Village Lane. I wanted to incorporate little of the Noordhoek beach so the route goes down to beach road.

From the beach you climb the Moneky Valley stairs up to Chapman’s Peak Drive to take a very scenic piece of t@r towards Hout Bay.

At the first picnic spot to your right take the trail up – this is Chapman’s Neck path.

You need your GPS tracks here – the path starts out pretty clear but gets vague, especially after the fires. Keep left – otherise you end up going up to Chapman’s Peak or down to the De Goede Hoop Estates.

The route takes you across the face of mountain with great views over the valley.

Eventually you pop up in the Silvermine Reserve near one of the look out points. Take the Silvermine Orange Kloof Trail to the left. This is a great jeep track that atkes you all the way around and back down to the Silvermine dam.

Take the River Walk down to the main Silvermine gate.

Turn right onto the Ou Wa Pad path be sure to turn right again when you get to the T.

Keep on this path until you get to the Ou Kaapse Weg – the t@r road. Turn right onto Silvermine Road.

Just past the entrance to Cape Point Vineyards turn right onto Village Lane and run back to where you started.

Have a coffee at the Village Roast!
