Why I moved to MeWe but still use Facebook.

The short answer is that the frustration of Facebook not showing me what I wanted to see eventually became too much for me. I wanted to see posts from friends and family and not ‘very interesting ads’ and ‘post you might be interested in’. Which of course is what Facebook needs me to see.

The truth is that I was interested in what Facebook needed me to see – and wasting a LOT of time. That had to stop.

The Facebook algorithm works. (Which is also why I am a hypocrite – see below.)

I investigated a number of new Social Media platforms and I chose MeWe because of the familiarity of their interface to Facebook. It was easy. MeWe has no Ads, no algorithm that determines what you see and a super tight and simple privacy policy. Why do I believe them? Because they offer paid services. That is their product – my data is no longer this platform’s product.

Check it out. Here is my MeWe profile: MeWe – The Next-Gen Social Network

They also have fully functional iOS and Android apps. (No links. Don’t be lazy! Search your app store!)

Why will I still use Facebook?

Because not all my friends and family have moved.

It is a useful social platform to market on. Hey! So I am a hypocrite. I need to market my products and services on one of the world’s largest platforms. All the more reason to move to MeWe!
